Dill Pickles/Pickled Beans
Lois's recipe.
Makes about 10 quarts of brine, adjust to your needs.

Brine: Boil together 13 cups of water, 5 cups of vinegar, and 1 cup of canning salt.

Pack sterilized jars with dill, garlic, onion, green peppers, hot peppers(if you like that sort of thing), maybe some carrots, and finally cukes or green beans.  Pour brine over.  Leave about 1/4 inch head space.
Process accordingly.  I have read 5 minutes for beans 10 minutes for cukes.
